Goal Setting
The new year is notoriously the time for new beginnings and goal setting. As ACQ continues to look for ways to highlight our three-fold mission: Fellowship, Education and Charity - we have some great opportunities coming in 2022. n the fellowship front, we continue to have our monthly guild meetings. For now, they will continue on Zoom in order to keep our community safe. We are hoping that we will be able to meet in person, and have hybrid meetings (both streamed online and held in person) later in the year.
On the education front, we have some excellent opportunities for workshops coming up. There is still space in the January workshop which will teach us creative new ways to use the Dresden plate. We will be hosting workshops primarily online, with a couple opportunities to meet in person. The in-person opportunities will be space limited, so you are encouraged to sign up early if you would like to attend.
On the charity front, we continue to partner with those in need in our community. Whether it is through patriotic quilts for female veterans, children’s quilts for Children’s Hospital, larger quilts for those in transitional housing, or blankets for infant loss - our guild continues to support the community with quilty hugs.
In 2022, I have a goal for ACQ that I hope you will join me in accomplishing. I would love to see 75% of our members helping in some manner - whether that be a one-time volunteer opportunity at a drive through, donating a quilt for charity, or sharing our auction opportunities with family and friends - ACQ is only as strong as its members.
