Thanks to everyone who quickly mobilized their time and talents to help gather quilts for fire victims of the Marshall Fire, impacting our neighbors in Louisville and Superior, Colorado. To date, we have received over 250 quilts from all across the country (and a couple from Australia), and have distributed 88 quilts to families who were impacted. Though we continue to collect quilts, the immediate need has been met. As families settle into their “new normal” and begin to rebuild, we will likely be asked to provide larger, bed-sized quilts. If you have quilts you think would fit this purpose, please stay tuned for information in the future as needs arise.
The Pop Up Socials are a wonderful way to connect with ACQ members and the impromptu Show & Tell is amazing. It makes us so happy to see the quilt tops from last year’s kit making party come back in.
Sheila is still working on snowball 9 patch quilts because it is winter. We will both be working on red, white and blue quilts for a delivery to the VOA Clermont Commons planned for March 2022.
