December Guild Meeting

Thursday December 8, 2022 at 6:30 PM MST

First Plymouth Congregational Church - and Zoom

Join us for our December Holiday Celebration!

BRING YOUR OWN BAGGED DINNER AND GUEST SPEAKER, ELLEN PALMER

Celebrate the Holidays and the end of another year at our December dinner and Holiday Social.  This event will be held in person at the church as well as live-streamed for those who are unable to attend in person.

We will begin the evening with a B.Y.O.B dinner.  Everyone will bring their own meal, which can be something from home or something that you pick-up on the way.  ACQ Hospitality Committee will provide drinks and dessert. Plates, napkins, cups, etc. will also be available.

To celebrate the season of giving, we will be also be having a small gift exchange while seated at our tables by playing a short Holiday game to rotate the gifts around the table (see event details for suggestions).

With the Quilt Show coming in June of 2023, we have scheduled Ellen Palmer, a CQC Quilt Judge, to give a short lecture on what judges are looking for and the protocol that they follow when judging a quilt.  This will be positive in nature and will give you information to help you grow and improve your quilting.

 Other festivities will include:

  • Installation of New Officers
  • Show 'n Tell Extravaganza
  • UFO Prize Winners

The meeting is free for all ACQ members and Guests.  Please register to attend the meeting for in person or online via Zoom .

Looking ahead to 2023

ACQ Programs for 2023 are coming together!  Lectures, workshops, and more!  Some online and some in person.  Take a look at our schedule for 2023 here.   First quarter highlights:  All Guild meetings and workshops for the first Quarter of 2023 are now open for registration. January through March meetings and workshops will all be via zoom.  Check them out:  January - Scraps with Michelle Crawford of Flower box Quilts, February – Memory Quilts with Beth Sullivan of Beth Sullivan Designs, March – Using Graphic Design to create quilt patterns with Sheri Cifaldi-Morrill of Whole Circle Studios, April 1st – Brilliance Quilt Workshop (in person) with Pat Syta at Holly’s Quilt Cabin.

We have the opportunity to be part of an exciting program in 2023.  A virtual BOM class by ACQ's very own Pat Syta.  Pat is offering a Block of the Month for her pattern Runaway. The class will be held virtually once a month from February through September. Each class will be recorded and Pat will be providing a link that to view the class for 2 weeks after each class.  Sign up now so we have enough committed members to move forward with the class.  See the BOM event here.
