Moda and Beyond with Lynne Hagmeier
Moda Fabric's best-selling designer, Lynne Hagmeier, aka Kansas Troubles, will share more than 50 quilts plus stories from Kansas Troubles' first fabric line to her very newest designs. Hailing from Bennington, KS, Lynne’s fabric line, Kansas Troubles, has set a standard with traditional quilters for 30 years.
Kansas Troubles Quilters was born in 1989 when three friends began quilting together & selling their wares at craft shows. After many requests for the patterns of their original creations, two of the women continued their endeavors in the quilting world by publishing their patterns for wholesale distribution to quilt shops beginning in 1994.
More than twenty years later (after another partner retired in 1999), Lynne has created hundreds of quilting patterns, published 2 dozen books (five in a series of historical quilts as well as quilters journals) & designed over 50 collections of fabric with Moda. There’s always something new in the works at Kansas Troubles Quilters - from new fabric lines to books, patterns, workshops, retreats & cruises.
Doors open at 6:20 and the meeting begins at 6:50.
ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR
Lynne Hagmeier, the main designer for Moda's Kansas Trouble for well over 20 years, is recognized as one of the queens of traditional fabrics, quilts and patterns. She has published books, patterns, taught classes and hosted retreats that many of us have enjoyed. Lynne is a perfect example of how traditional quilting is still the foundation of the quilting world and we are excited to host her in March.
