Smash Your Stash!

Are you spending time in your sewing room, surrounded by your fabric stash? Find inspiration from Kate Colleran to Smash Your Stash! at the ACQ August Guild Meeting. This lecture and trunk show focuses on quilts that use precuts, and includes tips and ideas on how to use precut patterns to work through your stash…even if you don’t own any precuts! After all, a precut quilt is just a curated scrap quilt!

Kate will share quilts from her book, Smash Your Precut Stash. She’ll also share some of her patterns and her journey as a quilt pattern designer. It will be a lot of fun!

Kate Colleran is the pattern designer behind Seams Like a Dream Quilt Designsand an ACQ member! From day 1, Kate's goal has been to help you make a quilt. And to have fun.

And my goal is unchanged. To me quilting is about creating, about learning and having fun and about community.

For you, the beginner quilter, the directions are written so you can follow them. The patterns are like a quilt class in a bag!

For you, the intermediate or advanced quilter, the designs are fun, fresh and a mix of traditional elements with a modern touch.

What is your fabric style? Kate's patterns will work with traditional, modern, brights … you get to choose the look of your quilt.

Trivia: The green images at the top and bottom of ACQ's website are photos of fabric that Kate made in her ice-dying demo at an ACQ Demo Night!
