A picture of some available quilt kits from the last drive through event!

Let's get together for an online community sew day. Charity Quilts needs our help making blocks and quilts to give to all of the wonderful charities that Sheila Clark has been in contact with.

Join us from the comfort of your own sewing room as we gather to chat and sew.

Q: Do I have to come all day?
A: Please join us when you can, for as long as you can.

Q: What blocks are we making?
A: Last year ACQ completed many wonky star quilts and I will always love wonky. As we begin 2021 I am looking forward to scrappy 4 patches and 9 patch variations. Here are some examples for inspiration and direction.

Jewel Box by Jenny Doan is called Diamond Chain

Q: What size blocks are we making?
A: The Jewel Box quilt block is 8 ½ inches but we still love 9 patch blocks that are 6 ½, 9 ½, or 12 ½ inches.

Q: How many blocks should I make?
A: As many as you want. If you make enough to create a top on your own, that's great! If you make several, they can be added to others to make tops and that's great too!

Q: How are we delivering blocks?
A: Sheila Clark will be arranging meeting times. Perhaps as everyone chats, we'll create some new systems.

Please RSVP in advance and you will receive a Zoom link by email to join the Community Open Sew. Thanks.
