Learn how to achieve curved results with straight-line piecing in this easy but complex looking design.  This is a popular workshop with easy dimensional curves along with some strip piecing.  No matter the color combination, the results are spectacular!

The dimensional piecing technique consists of layering and inserting folded fabric pieces into the seam line of a pieced unit or block.  A curve appears when the bias edges are turned and stitched down.  This workshop is a great way to learn this technique without being overwhelmed by a large quilt!  Come and join us!!

Annette Ornelas, a German-born quilt artist, is a teacher and designer living in Fayetteville, North Carolina with her husband and their three dogs.  She has designed and published numerous quilting patterns .  Her unconventional piecing style - straight line piecing with curved results - enables all students to make easy but complex looking designs.  This unique method makes curves fast, fun and easy.

Annette has been published in Quilter's Newsletter Magazine, Australian Patchwork and Stitching, and Australian Patchwork and Quilting.  In 2000, she started her own pattern company called Southwind Designs, and has published over 25 patterns and a Block-of-the-Month series, Atlantis.  Her line of patterns are distributed worldwide.
